CELEBRATE THE SAVIOR

Easter is the greatest
                                Sunday of the Christian year

Easter is the greatest Sunday of the Christian year. It signifies the true meaning of the Christian faith. But Easter isn’t just an event to be celebrated one day each year. Christians are to be Easter people each and every day. Christians are people of the Resurrection. No other faith has an eternal Living Lord and Savior.
Every other faith must point to a grave with a body in it when asked who or what they believe. Christians celebrate that our God lives.’ “Christ is Risen” is the central proclamation of the Church.

Christ is Risen!
This is a present tense reality and proclamation, not just an event in the past. It fuels living and vibrant Christian faith. Christ is alive and actively working through His Holy Spirit and His people to bring redemption to all people.
How sad it is when we live lives apart from God. Jesus died and rose so our sins can be forgiven and we can have eternal life.
The importance of resurrection, as a historical event, is incredible and life altering. The resurrected Christ is the cornerstone of true Christian Faith.

NEW YEAR / NEW OPPORTUNITES

May 2014 be the year we turn the page and increase our best efforts to reflect God's Grace in our lives. We have the privilege as followers of Christ to invite people to come and see the Jesus who lives in each of us. When the lost encounter Christ they find their way in life more clearly. By God's grace, seekers can see His work of grace in our speech and in our unspoken words. They see our kindness in the face of unkindness. They see our respect when we are disrespected. They see our love when we are unloved. They see us forgive when we are rejected. They see our strength and confidence when they see how we handle adversity and illness. How we live with Christ in us, is a window into the wonders of God's grace for all to see.

"You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."

2 Corinthians 3:3

MORROW FAMILY

The Morrow Family suffered a tremendous loss Monday night losing Kenny's father and brother when their home burned. Kenny's sister survived the fire.

Please pray for the Morrow Family as they have the service in Mississippi this weekend and deal with this loss. A card or a note of sympathy would be nice for them upon arrival back home also. I plan on sending flowers from our class.

This photo was made by a firefighter of the remains of Kenny's homestead!

Bro. Roger

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NIV

Oil and perfume rejoice the heart; so does the sweetness of a friend's counsel that comes from the heart.
